How to Use the AthleteFi Discover Page
A complete guide to the AthleteFi Discover page — what it is, how its tabs work, and how to use it to find coaches, athletes, leagues, and more.
What Is the AthleteFi Discover Page?
The AthleteFi Discover page is your central hub for exploring everything on the platform — coaches, athletes, sports, leagues, certifications, skills, gear, and community content. It is designed to help you browse and explore, not just search. Whether you know exactly what you are looking for or you are just starting to explore your options, Discover gives you a clear, organized entry point.
You can find it at athletefi.com/discover. No account is required to browse.
The Sport Pills: Filter Everything at Once
At the top of the Discover page, you will see a row of sport pills — Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, and more. Clicking any sport pill instantly filters the entire page to show only content relevant to that sport. Coaches, athletes, events, pickup games, leagues, certifications — everything updates at once.
This is the fastest way to focus Discover on what matters to you. If you play baseball, tap Baseball and the page reorganizes itself around the baseball coaching world. Tap All at any time to reset the filter and see everything again.
The Tabs: Eight Ways to Explore
Discover is organized into eight tabs, each showing a different slice of the platform. You can switch between them at any time without losing your sport filter.
All
The default view. Shows a combined feed of coaches, events, pickup games, and on-demand content in one place. A good starting point when you are browsing broadly or just want to see what is active on the platform right now.
Coaches
Browse verified coaches on the platform. Filter by sport, location, session format, price, and verification level. Each coach card shows their sport, location, rating, and price range. Click any card to go directly to their full profile where you can review packages, read reviews, and book a session.
Athletes
See athletes who are active on AthleteFi. The Athletes tab is useful if you are a coach looking for clients, or an athlete looking to connect with others training in the same sport or area.
Leagues
Explore organized leagues and competitions associated with different sports. The Leagues tab shows active leagues, the sports they cover, and how to get involved. If you are looking to compete — not just train — this is the tab to check.
Certs
Browse coaching certifications recognized on AthleteFi. Each certification card shows the issuing body, the sport it applies to, and what level of coaching experience it represents. Use this tab to understand what credentials to look for when choosing a coach, or to explore what certifications are available if you are a coach yourself.
Skills
A breakdown of specific skills and competencies by sport. The Skills tab helps you identify exactly what you want to work on — whether that is a baseball pitcher's mechanics, a swimmer's turn technique, or a basketball player's ball handling. Use it to get precise about your training goals before reaching out to a coach.
Clubhouse
Browse gear and equipment listed for sale by coaches and athletes in the community. The Clubhouse tab is AthleteFi's built-in marketplace for sports gear — bats, gloves, training equipment, and more — listed by real people in the athletic community.
Guides
Read in-depth articles and educational content from AthleteFi covering sport history, athlete development, recruiting tips, scholarships, and more. The Guides tab surfaces content relevant to your selected sport or browsing interest. This is where you are right now — welcome.
How to Find a Coach on Discover
The most common use of the Discover page is finding the right coach. Here is the fastest path:
- Tap your sport pill at the top to filter the entire page to your discipline.
- Switch to the Coaches tab to see all coaches in that sport.
- Use the Filters button to narrow by location, price range, session format (in-person, online, group), and verification status.
- Click a coach card to view their full profile — packages, schedule, reviews, and credentials.
- Book directly from the profile when you are ready.
Discover vs. Search: Which to Use
AthleteFi also has a search bar you can use to find coaches, athletes, or content directly by name or keyword. Here is when to use each:
- Use Discover when you are exploring — you want to understand what is available in your sport, compare multiple coaches, or find something you did not know to search for. Discover shows you the full landscape.
- Use Search when you already know what you are looking for — a specific coach's name, a specific sport keyword, or a specific piece of content. Search gets you there faster when you have a target.
The two work best together. Browse Discover to build your short list, then use search to get back to a specific coach or article quickly.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Discover
- Always set your sport pill first. It makes every tab more relevant immediately and cuts out noise from sports you are not interested in.
- Check the Leagues and Certs tabs for your sport. Even if you are mainly looking for a coach, knowing what leagues exist and what certifications are respected in your sport will help you ask better questions and make a more informed decision.
- Use the Skills tab to clarify your goals. Being specific about what you want to improve — not just "get better at soccer" but "improve my first touch and positioning" — helps you have a more productive first conversation with any coach.
- Explore the Guides tab for your sport. The AthleteFi Guides library includes deep-dive articles on sport history, development pathways, and training philosophy. Reading even one or two guides in your sport can help you understand what quality coaching looks like.
- Use verification filters in the Coaches tab. Coaches with background checks and verified credentials have been through AthleteFi's trust process. For athletes or parents who prioritize safety and accountability, filtering for verified coaches is a good starting point.
